Srinagar Courtroom on Tuesday reserved the judgment on the quantum of punishment in an acid assault case on a 24-year-old woman on the Hawal space of Srinagar Downtown in 2022.
Whereas referring to varied provisions of regulation and Supreme Courtroom judgments, the prosecution prayed for the life sentence for the convict.
Courtroom has convicted the primary accused Sajid Altaf Somewhat, a resident of Buchwara Dalgate and at present the case was listed for arguments on the quantum of punishment.
After listening to public prosecutor Ajaz Ahmad and protection counsel, the Courtroom of Principal District Classes Courtroom, Srinagar, presided over by Jawad Ahmad reserved the judgment for Wednesday.
Mir Naveed Gul, Panel Lawyer representing the sufferer assigned by District Authorized Providers Authority, Srinagar, submitted that the sufferer has undergone 23 surgical procedures and greater than Rs. 48 Lakhs have been utilized on her medical procedures.
