The Energy Growth Division is mulling to enhance the facility curtailment schedule in holy month of Ramadhan.
Moreover, the division mentioned that it’s going to enhance and cut back the facility curtailment particularly at Suhoor and quick breaking time (Iftar).
Chief Engineer KPDCL (Distribution) Sandeep Seth mentioned that it was charting out the plan and mechanism to resolve the facility curtailment points for the month of Ramadhan.
“We’re engaged on it and most definitely, the brand new curtailment schedule might be applied from the primary day of Ramadhan,” he mentioned.
On asking concerning the enhancing energy curtailment at peak hours, the Chief Engineer mentioned, “Within the month of Ramadhan, the height hours might be pre-dawn and nightfall. We’re mulling to enhance the facility curtailment particularly at Sahoor and Iftar.”
Pertinently, the holy Ramadhan is more likely to begin from Tuesday.
Within the final week of February, amid frequent energy outages and misery cuts throughout Kashmir valley, Kashmir Energy Developed Company Restricted (KPDCL) had mentioned that it was dealing with energy scarcity of practically 400 Megawatts (MWs).
An official of KPDCL had mentioned, “As of now, adequate energy will not be obtainable with us. Presently, KPDCL is reeling beneath scarcity of electrical energy.”
The official mentioned, “There’s a scarcity of practically 300-400 Mega Watts. In view of the facility scarcity, there could also be some areas in Kashmir who could be dealing with misery cuts and unscheduled outage.” (KNO)
