BRO Launches Snow Clearance Drive for Amarnath Yatra Route

SRINAGAR: In Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has launched a vigorous snow clearance marketing campaign alongside the Baltal Domail Street, which is essential for pilgrims journeying to the revered Amarnath cave.

This initiative, geared toward facilitating a seamless pilgrimage expertise, underscores the organisation’s dedication to making sure protected passage for devotees, a BRO official mentioned.

Initiated in 2022 by the administration, the street building mission from Baltal to Domail initially fell underneath the purview of the Roads & Buildings (R&B) division. Subsequently, the duty was transitioned to BRO, recognising their specialised abilities in managing such endeavours effectively.

The official mentioned the latest efforts have targeting clearing snow alongside the Baltal Domail observe, with the mixed efforts of Beacon and diligent labourers working tirelessly over the previous week.
