SRINAGAR: In a crackdown in opposition to drug peddlers, the Baramulla police connected properties, together with 1 Kanal and 10 Marlas of land and a single-story residential home valued at roughly Rs 20 lakhs, belonging to drug peddler Farooq Ahmad Mir, a resident of Zaspora Tangmarg, District Baramulla.
A police spokesperson in a press release stated, “This motion was taken below sections 68-E learn with 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985, linked with case FIR No.50/2019 & 55/2023 u/s 8/20, 29 NDPS Act of PS Tangmarg & case FIR No. 142/2022 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act of PS Kunzer.”
The property was recognized as illegally acquired in the course of the investigation,enquiry performed by the police, and it was discovered to be acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic medicine and psychotropic substances by the drug peddler.
