BANDIPORA, Nov 27: Bandipora Police on Monday arrested 5 folks, together with a Rohingya nationwide, in reference to a human trafficking community in Jammu and Kashmir, officers stated.
“5 individuals had been arrested in reference to human trafficking. One Rohingya particularly Manzoor Alam was amongst these arrested,” Bandipora Police stated.
A senior Police officer stated that the accused had been concerned in trafficking Rohingya ladies by way of Bangladesh, arranging marriages with locals inside the Union Territory (UT) in change for financial positive aspects.
“The accused trafficked Rohingya ladies through Bangladesh and received them married to locals within the UT in change for cash,” they added.
