Rajouri, Nov 27: Recent snowfall at higher reaches and rainfall in decrease belts have intensified the chilly circumstances in Pir Panjal sub-region.
Officers mentioned that contemporary rainfall in low-lying areas and snowfall at higher reaches began on Monday morning and continued for hours, until night. This led to drop in mercury, thus intensifying chilly wave circumstances throughout the sub-region.
They mentioned that higher reaches, particularly in Thanamandi, Darhal and Kotranka areas of Rajouri district together with Surankote and Mandi in Poonch districts skilled a number of inches of snowfall.
