Srinagar, Nov 29: Police on Wednesday foiled an unlawful commerce of counterfeit gold biscuits and arrested three individuals in Jammu Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Police mentioned on Tuesday, Police Station Khansahib obtained data from dependable sources indicating about involvement of a gaggle of people within the illicit commerce of counterfeit gold biscuits.
Performing on the tip off, a suspect car was intercepted close to Gogjipathri crossing within the Khansahib space with three individuals on board.
The trio had been recognized as Fayaz Ahmad Dar a resident of Malwa Kunzar, Farooq Ahmad Dar of Arizal Khansahib and Shabir Ahmad Dar a resident of Arizal Khansahib had been arrested.
Through the search of the car, 239 gold-like biscuits suspected to be counterfeit had been recovered.
The accused people had been unable to substantiate the authenticity of the objects and had been arrested on the spot.
A case beneath related sections of regulation, stands registered at Police station Khansahib and investigation set into movement.
Preliminary investigation means that these individuals had been allegedly promoting these faux gold biscuits to patrons at exorbitant charges and deceiving them, police added. (Businesses)
