Kupwara, Nov 30: District Justice of the Peace Kupwara Ayushi Sudan on Thursday issued an order asking the netizens within the district to chorus from all types of misuse of social-media networking platforms.
The order, the District Justice of the Peace as per GNS, stated is being issued because it has been made to look that some anti-national individuals or teams are resorting to misuse of social-media networking platforms on web by ‘getting ready’ or ‘posting’ or ‘spreading’ or ‘propagating’ by means of ‘forwarding’ or ‘sharing’ incendiary messages and propoganda of terrorist and separatist outfits.
Such actions, the order reads, are being carried out with intention to; a) Glorify terrorist and their actions; b) Intimidate and terrorise people or normal public or sections of public; c) Exhort member(s) of public to resort to violence by inciting, encouraging and spreading disaffection/hatred d) Propagate terrorist and secessionist ideology and false narratives and e) Selling fell of hatred, ill-will on spiritual floor and more likely to disturb public order and tranquility.
“Such acts on a part of these anti-national individuals or teams are prejudicial to the safety of the state, upkeep of regulation and order and are more likely to disturb the general public tranquility”, reads the order including “such acts on the a part of these anti-national individuals or teams are geared toward terrorising widespread residents and public functionaries from discharging their lawful duties.”
“In train of powers conferred upon me (District Justice of the Peace) by part 144 CrPC 1973, I, Ayushi Sudan, IAS, District Justice of the Peace, Kupwara do hereby prohibit and order most of the people to chorus from ‘posting’ or ‘importing’ or ‘propagating’ by means of ‘forwarding’ or ‘sharing’ any messages or content material as talked about with quick impact throughout the limits of District Kupwara”, reads the order.
