New Delhi, Dec 14: 5 Congress members had been suspended from Lok Sabha for “unruly behaviour” for the rest of the winter session on Thursday, with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi transferring a movement for his or her suspension.
He moved the movement after apprising the Home of the steps taken within the wake of yesterday’s incident of safety breach wherein two males jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the customer’s gallery.
The movement was moved quickly after the Home met at 2 pm following an adjournment earlier within the day.
Joshi moved the movement to droop Congress MPs – TN Prathapan, Hibi Eden, S Jothimani, Ramya Haridas and Dean Kuriakose – for the rest of the winter session, which can conclude on December 22.
BJD’s Bhartruhari Mahtab was on the chair when the movement was moved and adopted amid sloganeering by opposition members.
Joshi stated that Speaker Om Birla has written to the Dwelling Secretary for a high-level inquiry into yesterday’s incident and the probe has begun.
He cited cases from the previous, together with when papers had been thrown from the guests gallery, and such unlucky incidents had occurred earlier too. He referred to as upon opposition members to not “politicise” the difficulty. (Companies)
