PHILLIP ISLAND
An Australian island is also known as Coorong, Worne, or Millow is located almost 140 kilometers/87 miles southeast of Melbourne, Victoria. The island is a well-known tourist destination that attracts annually, 3.5 million people from different parts of the world. A major part of the tourism at Phillip Island is PHILLIP ISLAND NATURE PARK AUSTRALIA.

A conservation park, established in 1996, owned and administrated by the Victorian State Government, the park is a self-funding commercial venue that serves the purpose of animal conservation. The PHILLIP ISLAND NATURE PARK covers an area of over 1805 hectares with attraction areas that includes Dolphins, Seals, and Shark viewing, and a koala conservation center.
PENGUIN ISLAND
The major attraction of the Philip island nature park that attracts tourists and travelers from all over the world is THE PENGUIN PARADE, the only tourist venue in the world where people can actually watch the penguins in their own habitat and environment. The island is home to approximately 32,000 penguins. The parade of these little penguins on the island, STARTED IN 1920s, when island residents organized the first viewing of the penguins and now it is one of the best eco-tourism facilities around the world. The colony of these little creatures, spends their day swimming deep waters, hunting for food that includes fish and other small creatures, after sunset, the herd, departs back to their home AKA nesting grounds at Summer land beach region of Phillip Island. The sight of these little ones, shuffling their way back to their homes, is a sight of adrenaline rush for the wildlife lovers.
KOALA CONSERVATION CENTRE
After penguin parade, the sight of the adorable KOALAS, welcome to the KOALA CONSERVATION CENTRE of the Phillip Island, where you can have front-row views of the KOALAS in their natural environment, you can wander in the marvelous bush land while meeting some of the adorable Koala residents.
MARU WILDLIFE PARK
And if you are thinking that it ends now….wait till you enter the Maru Wildlife Park of Phillip Island, the trip for the wildlife have not ended yet…. Maru Wildlife Park gives you the opportunity of meeting the well known and beloved animal of Australia – KANGAROO. After having a wonderful hands-on interaction with animals, you can enjoy the Mini-GOLF adventure course of the park.
THE GRAND PRIX CIRCUIT
After the heavenly mention of the wildlife attractions of the island, the second attraction that draws people to the Phillip Island is GRAND PRIX CIRCUIT, created in 1956 and then became one of the top racing venues of the world, the Grand Prix circuit attracts motorheads, no matter what your level of motor enthusiasm is, it will surely give you an experience of rush and excitement. Although the circuit has lost its title of being one of the best in the world, over a period of time, it still hosts some awesome grand race events that include – Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, Superbike World Championship, and no worries if you were unable to visit during these grand events, the visit to the circuit will give you some memorable moments for sure.
WOOLAMAI SURF BEACH
As the name suggests the beach is famous for its waves and currents. There are various activities that can keep you busy at the beach, but the swimming and surfing are among the favorite ones. The beach is a safe wonderland for the families and those who are not experienced the stronger tides if Victoria yet, because the beach gets patrolled 24×7, and if you are not a surfer (just like me), you can soak up in the sun at the beach (I would go with a book), still sound boring!!?? You can go for trekking at the nearby Cape Woolamai Lookout, famous and known as the tallest point of the Phillip Island, a peak view of the surroundings and the refreshing breeze of sea is promised by the nature.
SEAL ROCKS
Australian fur seals’ largest colony, located at two kilometers offshore from the Nobbies, it is a paradise for seals as well as for wildlife lovers. The rocks are heaven for the seals as it is a perfect place for hunting, swimming and resting day and night, visitors can hangout at the nearby rocks and see these creatures soaking in the sun.
PHILLIP ISLAND CHOCOLATE FACTORY
And what else do you want!! This island has a chocolate factory of its own and yessss!!!! You can visit it. The sweetest attraction of the island is the chocolate factory where you can see how chocolate is made, and even create your own activities that includes a lot of chocolate, and after the fun activities with chocolate you can grab your favorite ones from the shop (a hot chocolate for me please….).
The PHILLIP ISLAND is a place that you can visit with your whole family or the group of friends or whoever you want to go with, do whatever you like or love, do swimming or surfing, devour sea-cuisine delicacies, explore the various flavors of chocolate, gain the knowledge about chocolate making process, enjoy the penguin parade, made some koala friends, say hi to some seals, or go for trekking to experience the beach view from the top, the island is a perfect destination for tourists and travelers with different interests as it offers various opportunities and activities to people.
