Avalanche Warning Issued for Two Districts in JK

SRINAGAR: Following contemporary snowfall, the Jammu and Kashmir Catastrophe Administration Authority (JKDMA)  issued an avalanche warning for the Ganderbal and Kupwara districts of Kashmir on Monday for the subsequent 24 hours.

Jammu and Kashmir Catastrophe Administration Authority in a comminique mentioned the warning signifies a Low Hazard Stage for potential avalanches, significantly above 2600 meters in Kupwara and 2800 meters in Ganderbal districts.

“The Residents residing in these high-altitude areas are suggested to train warning and chorus from venturing into avalanche-prone zones over the subsequent 24 hours,” the JKDMA mentioned.
