Gurez- Bandipora highway to stay closed until additional orders – Kashmir Reader

Bandipora: In wake of the contemporary snowfall, the authorities in Bandipora district have determined to shut the 84-km-long Bandipora-Gurez highway for the vehicular motion from Monday afternoon until additional orders.
An order issued by Deputy Commisioner Bandipora, reads that in view of current snowfall and as really useful by officer commanding 56 RCC (GREF) c/o 56 APO , the site visitors on Gurez-Bandipora highway shall stay suspended for all sorts of vehicular motion from Monday until futher orders.
The highway used to stay closed from November onwards throughout winter months because of heavy snowfall, nonetheless, because of extended dry spell the highway was via until now.Official stated .
