New Delhi– The Earnings Tax division on Friday stated it has notified I-T return kinds 2, 3 and 5 for submitting tax returns for evaluation yr 2024-25.
The ITR-1, which is filed by people having a complete revenue of as much as Rs 50 lakh, and ITR-6 for firms have been notified earlier in December 2023, and January 2024, respectively.
“The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) dated January 31, 2024, has notified Earnings-tax Return Varieties (ITR Kind)- 2, 3 and 5 for the Evaluation Yr (AY) 2024-25,” the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) stated in an announcement.
All ITR Varieties 1 to six have since been notified and can come into impact from April 1, 2024, it added.
People and HUFs not having revenue from enterprise or career [and not eligible for filing ITR Form-1 (Sahaj)] can file ITR-2, whereas these having revenue from enterprise or career can file ITR Kind-3.
ITR-4 (Sugam) is for resident people, HUFs and corporations (aside from LLP) having a complete revenue of as much as Rs 50 lakh and having revenue from enterprise and career.
Partnership corporations and LLPs can file ITR Kind-5 and corporations aside from these claiming exemption below part 11 can file ITR Kind-6.
“Adjustments have been integrated within the ITRs as a way to facilitate the taxpayers and to enhance ease of submitting,” the CBDT added.
