Srinagar-Jammu freeway blocked for 2nd consecutive day

Srinagar, March 3: The strategic Srinagar-Jammu nationwide freeway remained closed on Sunday for the second consecutive day as a result of landslides.

Site visitors division officers mentioned that a number of landslides have been triggered by incessant rain within the Ramban district.

“Efforts to revive the freeway for site visitors are occurring. Intending travellers are suggested to not undertake the journey with out contacting our management rooms at Srinagar and Jammu,” the officers mentioned.

An official informed Higher Kashmir that the highway is closed at about one dozen locations in Nashri and Banihal sector as a result of landslides and taking pictures stones

He mentioned the highway has been broken utterly at Pantiyal (Out facet tunnel no 5) and that the restoration work has been began.
