Avalanche Warning Issued For Eight JK Districts

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Catastrophe Administration Authority (JKDMA) on Monday issued avalanche warning for eight districts of Jammu and Kashmir, and suggested individuals of the respective districts to keep away from venturing in avalanche susceptible areas until additional orders.

“Avalanche with low hazard stage is prone to happen above 2400 metres over Bandipora, Baramulla and Kupwara districts in subsequent 24 hours. Additionally avalanche with medium hazard stage is prone to happen above 2200 metres over Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch, Ramban and Ganderbal districts in subsequent 24 hours,” JKDMA mentioned.

Individuals dwelling in these areas are suggested to take precautions and keep away from venturing within the avalanche susceptible areas, advisory added.
