WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden and his predecessor Donald Trump are set for a bitter election rematch in November after they secured their events’ presidential nominations with spectacular wins in one other spherical of key primaries.
Biden, 81, received the Democratic presumptive nomination on Tuesday after simply clinching the presidential primaries in Georgia, because the variety of delegates in his kitty crossed the midway mark of three,933 pledged delegates. A complete of 1,968 delegates have been required to win the Democratic nomination.
4 states — Georgia, Hawaii, Mississippi, Washington — one American territory and Democrats dwelling overseas held their primaries on Tuesday.
