New Delhi : The Central authorities has handed over 324 circumstances to the Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) within the final 5 years, the Ministry of House Affairs (MHA) advised the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.
Union Minister of State for House Nityanad Rai shared the data in a written reply to a question of a member.
The Minister stated these 324 circumstances have been handed over to the NIA between December 1, 2018 and November 30, 2023.
The MHA handed over the circumstances to the NIA after contemplating the gravity of the circumstances, because the company has a specialisation in probing terror-related incidents throughout the nation and varied different issues underneath its jurisdiction.
Requested concerning the variety of circumstances by which courtroom verdicts have been delivered over the past 5 years and the variety of circumstances by which the accused has been convicted, the MoS shared information displaying 84 circumstances by which judgement was pronounced and 81 circumstances by which the accused have been convicted between December 1, 2018 and November 30, 2023.
