Jammu, he stated, recorded a minimal of 5.0°C and it was under regular by 4.5°C for the winter capital of J&Ok.

Banihal recorded a low of minus 0.3°C, Batote minus 0.4°C and Bhaderwah minus 2.0°C, he stated.

Relating to the forecast, the MeT official stated that climate is predicted to be dry until February 17.

“Total, dry climate is predicted until February 17 with sometimes cloudy in the direction of night throughout February 14.”

Relating to the outlook throughout February 18-20, he stated, there’s chance of sunshine snow and rain.

As ‘Chillai-Kalan’, the 40-day harsh interval of winter ended on January 29, Kashmir is presently in the midst of 20-day-long winter interval referred to as ‘Chillai-Khurd’ that ends on February 19 and is adopted by a 10-day-long interval ‘Chillai-Bachha’ (child chilly) which begins from February 20 to March 1.
