“In view of Lok Sabha Elections-2024 and pursuant to the directions laid down by the Election Fee of India, para 3.6 vide no. 464/INST/2009/EPS Dated: 01.09.2009, and to be able to guarantee upkeep of legislation & order so important for making certain free and truthful elections, I, Dr. Bilal Mohi Ud Din Bhat, IAS, District Justice of the Peace, Srinagar, do hereby subject prohibitory orders beneath Part 144 of the Legal Process Code, 1973 and impose full ban on carrying of licensed arms throughout the District until the completion of election course of,” reads an order by the District Justice of the Peace.
