Srinagar: Enforcement Directorate on Friday connected immovable property measuring over 257 Kanal in Shivpora space of Srinagar in reference to a mortgage fraud case involving a faux cooperative society.
An official mentioned that ED has provisionally connected immovable property within the type of land measuring 257 Kanal and 19 Marlas at Shivpora, which is valued at Rs 193.46 crore in a PMLA case associated to the monetary fraud.
He mentioned that the fraud concerned sanctioning of mortgage to the tune of Rs 250 crore in 2019 to a faux cooperative society named River Jehlum Cooperative Home Constructing Society.
The official mentioned that the the then chairman of JKSTCB and others had been concerned on this fraud case—(KNO)
