Excavator Amongst 11 Autos Concerned In Unlawful Mining Seized In Kathua




KATHUA, MAR 15: An excavator and 10 different Autos concerned in unlawful mining had been at the moment seized by District Mineral Officer (DMO) Rajinder Singh Rana from totally different places of the district.
The shock raids had been performed at Lakhanpur, Taraf Tajawal, Keerian Gandial, Bhagtali and Nagri areas by the crew of Geology and Mining with the help of police officers. A complete of 10 automobiles and one JCB machine had been seized and saved within the custody of police.
Throughout the seizure it was discovered that 7 dumpers, 2 tractor trolleys and a truck had been transporting crushed minerals from stone crushers with out e-challans and different paperwork required as per the foundations of the geology and mining division.
In the meantime, over Rs. 2 lakh penalty was imposed on JCB machine for excavating uncooked mineral for dumping at stone crusher from unauthorized location at Gandyal with none legitimate permission from the division.
The DMO knowledgeable that there are 19 mineral leases within the district for supplying materials at prescribed charges and over 30 stone crushers for offering crushed mineral like sand, combination, mud and so on. however regardless of this some violators flip in the direction of unlawful mining.
The motion was initiated on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Dr. Rakesh Minhas.
