SRINAGAR: The Handwara Police in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district have apprehended a person who was posing as a pretend pc engineer and focusing on individuals by way of social media platforms.
Quoting an official, Kashmir Scroll reported that the accused, recognized as Atif Qureshi, had been falsely presenting himself as a pc engineer.
The official mentioned, “The accused initially contacted victims by way of social media platforms, claiming that their information had been compromised. Presenting himself as a useful skilled, he supplied to take away their information from the web for a charge. Sadly, some victims, scared of publicity, fell into the entice and succumbed to his extortion calls for.”
