New Delhi:Former prime ministers P V Narasimha Rao and Chaudhary Charan Singh in addition to agriculture scientist M S Swaminathan can be honoured with the Bharat Ratna, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced on Friday.
The federal government had earlier introduced the nation’s highest civilian honour for L Ok Advani and Karpoori Thakur. “Narasimha Rao steered India by way of vital transformations and in addition enriched its cultural and mental heritage,” Modi stated on X.
Rao’s visionary management, Modi stated, was instrumental in making India economically superior and laid a stable basis for its prosperity, progress.
