Govt publicizes election days as paid holidays

Srinagar, April 01: The J&K govt on Monday introduced paid holidays to be noticed on specific voting days in particular districts throughout the Union Territory.

In line with an official order, the next parliamentary constituencies shall observe paid holidays: Udhampur on nineteenth April, Jammu on twenty sixth April, Anantnag-Rajouri on seventh Might, Srinagar on thirteenth Might, and Baramulla on twentieth Might.

These ballot days shall be noticed as paid holidays by each individual employed in any enterprise, commerce, industrial endeavor or some other institution and is entitled to vote, learn the official order.

Every day wagers and informal labourers shall even be entitled to the vacation, the order mentioned.

“An individual who’s ordinarily resident of a constituency and is registered as an elector, serving or employed in an industrial endeavor or an institution situated exterior the constituency together with informal employees shall even be entitled to a paid vacation on the day of ballot, the order mentioned.
