In-situ Eco-Improvement of Dal Hamlets; Div Com Evaluates Undertaking Execution

SRINAGAR: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri on Thursday reviewed the standing of various initiatives executed by Lake Conservation and Administration Authority (LCMA) for the In-Situ eco-development of six hamlets in Dal Lake by the use of offering sewerage system and development of STP inside Dal Lake.

These hamlets embody Kachri Mohalla, Sofi Mohalla, Tinda Mohalla, Mir Mohalla, Golden Lake Property Karpora and Kani Mohalla.

The assembly was attended by VC, LCMA and officers & Engineers of LCMA, reads an announcement issued to the press.

On the outset, an outline of the mannequin was offered to point out the ultimate look and transformation of the villages.

“About 60% of the Kachri Mohalla’s eco-development initiatives have been completed, with a complete funds of Rs 179.51 lakhs. Chief Engineer UEED granted technical sanction for these initiatives on July 28, 2023,” the assertion reads.

The works embody walkways, Gazebo, Viewing Deck, kiker Pilling, Eco Parks, Drudging, RCC Block Works, HDEP Floating Platform, Ghat, and Culvert and Fishing Factors.

In addition to, the assembly was knowledgeable that about 85% of the work of sewer networking of all of the six Hamlets by the use of development, testing and commissioning of sewer community has been accomplished for the allotted price of Rs 254.21 Lakhs for which the technical sanction was accorded on Oct 17, 2023 by Chief Engineer UEED.

Moreover, it was knowledgeable that the J&Okay LCMA Authority had already printed tenders for the development of two modular STPs, every costing Rs 590 lacs and with a capability of 100 KLD, to be accomplished by MBR Expertise, would shortly be awarded.

After reviewing the bodily standing of initiatives, Div Com set a deadline for the completion of those initiatives by the tip of December, 2023.
