Srinagar: An area courtroom in Ganderbal on Saturday granted bail to seven college students of SKUAST- Kashmir who had been booked for elevating objectionable slogans following India’s defeat within the ICC world cup. They had been granted bail after police dropped expenses beneath the Illegal Actions (Prevention) Act-1967 towards them.
The courtroom of Chief Judicial Justice of the Peace Ganderbal at present granted interim bail to all the scholars who had been booked for elevating objectionable slogans after India’s defeat on the planet cup.
The bail was granted to the scholars after police dropped expenses beneath part 13 of Illegal Actions (Prevention) Act-1967 towards them on the premise of authorized opinion.
“Senior prosecuting officer analysed circumstances evidences and statements on document opined that at this stage as per evidences on document doesn’t join beneath part 13 UA (P) Act however the offence beneath part 153-A IPC is attracted within the immediate case whereas as part 13 UA(P) Act is dropped,” reads the report submitted by investigation officer (IO).
In the meantime, the lawyer of the case, advocate Shafiq Ahmad Bhat stated, “UAPA expenses have been dropped on all seven college students.” “They’ve been granted bail by CJM Ganderbal at present,” he stated. Sources stated all of the seven college students have been launched. Pertinently, on November, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had booked seven college students of Sher-e-Kashmir College of Agricultural Sciences and Expertise (SKUAST) for cheering India Cricket crew’s loss in World Cup closing 2023 and elevating pro-Pakistan slogans—(KNO)
