Jammu– The State Election Fee in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday introduced {that a} particular marketing campaign for the annual abstract revision of panchayat electoral rolls shall be launched on January 15.
The marketing campaign goals to incorporate eligible people, notably those that attained the age of 18 by January 1, 2024, within the electoral rolls.
“The State Election Fee will run a particular marketing campaign to undertake annual abstract revision of panchayat electoral rolls. That is to enrol girls and boys, who will flip 18 years (previous)… on January 1, 2024 in panchayat rolls,” State Election Commissioner B R Sharma stated right here.
He stated the marketing campaign will begin on January 15 and run till February 5.
As a part of the marketing campaign, 4 camps shall be held on January 27 and 28, and February 3 and 4. The revised electoral rolls shall be revealed on February 26, he added.
Emphasising the significance of participation within the electoral course of, Sharma appealed to these eligible to register themselves and train their proper to vote.
The time period of panchayats in Jammu and Kashmir ended on Monday. The final panchayat polls in Jammu and Kashmir have been held in 2018.
