Kiru Energy Venture Probe; 30 Places Raided

   

SRINAGAR: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) performed searches at over 30 areas throughout eight states. The searches are a part of a case regarding alleged irregularities within the awarding of civil works for the Kiru Hydroelectric Energy Venture in Jammu and Kashmir.

In keeping with assertion, searches have been performed in Jammu, Srinagar, Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai, Baghpat, Noida, Patna, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Barmer, Nagaur and Chandigarh.

The assertion reads that the case was registered on 20 04 2022 in opposition to officers of CVPPPL, a non-public firm and unknown others.

“It was alleged that in award of civil works referring to Kiru Hydroelectric Venture, tips relating to e-tendering weren’t adopted. It was additionally alleged that although a call was taken in forty seventh board assembly of CVPPPL for re-tender by e-tendering with reverse public sale, after cancellation of ongoing tendering course of, identical was not carried out and the choice of forty seventh board assembly, was reversed within the forty eighth board assembly,” it reads.

It added that in searches proof of giant money deposits, funding in mounted deposits, funding in properties in varied cities, digital and documentary proof have been recovered, whereas investigation is on. (KNO)
