SRINAGAR: The administration of Ladakh has constituted a high-level committee for implementation of three felony legal guidelines handed by the Parliament.
The Union Territory’s administration has constituted a 10-member steering committee headed by administrative secretary, House division for efficient implementation of Bharatiya Nyaya (Second) Sanhita, 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha (Second) Sanhita, 2023 and Bharatiya Sakshya (Second) Invoice, 2023 handed by the Parliament within the winter session.
The committee additionally comprising further director normal(head) of police Ladakh, administrative secretary, Regulation and Justice Division, administrative secretary, Basic Administration Division has been mandated to look into the efficient implementation of three felony legal guidelines.
It has been mandated to formulate a time-bound roadmap for profitable implementation of those legal guidelines and periodically evaluation the progress made in direction of the implementation of those legal guidelines within the UT.
These three felony legal guidelines are basically aimed toward revamping the colonial-era felony legal guidelines, with a give attention to enhancing penalties for crimes similar to terrorism, lynching, and offences jeopardising nationwide safety. These legal guidelines changed Indian Penal Code, Code of Prison Process and the Indian Proof Act.(KNO)
