SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a overview assembly of the Public Works (R&B) Division on the Civil Secretariat on Wednesday.
The Lt Governor reviewed the progress of highway infrastructure tasks beneath PMDP, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna, Central Street and Infrastructure Fund, NABARD RIDF, Cities and Cities (Macadamization), Pothole Free Roads Programme, Bridge and Street sector, Nationwide Freeway, and Tunnel Initiatives. The Lt Governor emphasised on monitoring the continued tasks for high quality management and instructed the executing businesses to stick to the timelines for completion of the tasks.
He directed for a security audit of roads and bridges and to take corrective measures wherever obligatory.
Senior officers of NHAI, NHIDCL, and BRO briefed the chair on the standing of the main tasks together with Delhi-Katra-Amritsar Expressway, Semi Ring Street Jammu Srinagar, Udhampur-Ramban Part, Ramban-Banihal Part, Jammu-Akhnoor highway, Chenani-Sudhmahadev-Goha-Khellani highway, Z-Morh tunnel, Zojila Tunnel.
