Lok Sabha passes J&Ok Reorganisation, Reservation (Modification) Payments

Srinagar, Dec 06: The Lok Sabha on Wednesday handed the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Modification) Invoice and the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Modification) Invoice.

The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Modification) Invoice seeks to appoint two members from the Kashmiri migrant group and one representing the displaced individuals from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to the legislative meeting.

The Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Modification) Invoice seeks to alter the nomenclature of a piece of people who find themselves eligible for quota in appointment and admission.

The payments, which had been moved within the Lok Sabha by Union Residence Minister on Tuesday had been handed after hours of debate spanning over two days.

Talking on two Payments within the Lok Sabha, Shah mentioned, “The Invoice that I’ve introduced right here pertains to bringing justice to and offering rights to these towards whom injustice was achieved, who had been insulted and people who had been ignored.”

He mentioned that in any society, those that are disadvantaged needs to be introduced ahead and that’s the fundamental sense of the Structure of India.

“However they need to be introduced ahead in a approach that doesn’t cut back their respect. There’s a big distinction between giving rights and giving rights respectfully. So, as a substitute of a weak and disadvantaged class, renaming it to Different Backward Class (OBC) is necessary,” the Minister mentioned.

He mentioned that Jammu and Kashmir has suffered because of two blunders dedicated by the nation’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru – first saying ceasefire after which taking the Kashmir subject to the United Nations.

“Had Jawaharlal Nehru taken proper steps, PoK would have been a part of India now. It was a historic blunder,” he mentioned.
