SRINAGAR: Constructed in 2005, the wedding corridor in Bellow village, situated in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, stays unused for weddings attributable to neglect from native authorities.
Initially constructed as a part of the village’s improvement initiative, residents now lament its disrepair and lack of performance.
Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, an area resident, expressed disappointment over the deteriorating situation of the corridor, citing administrative inaction regardless of repeated pleas for help.
The absence of a protecting wall on the constructing’s bottom has led to it getting used as a dumping floor for rubbish, exacerbating its decline.
Aged villagers, when interviewed, echoed a way of despair over the corridor’s continued neglect.
Shabir Ahmad Mir, one other resident, proposed repurposing the construction right into a Public Well being Centre to boost healthcare companies within the space. (KNT)
