SRINAGAR: Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district have instated a ban on promoting petrol to two-wheeler riders with out helmets. The deputy commissioner of Anantnag issued an order directing all petrol and filling stations within the district to stick to this restriction.

The choice follows a surge in accidents, notably involving two-wheelers, prompting the authorities to take preventive measures. Along with the ban, petrol pump and filling station proprietors are instructed to put in CCTV cameras that present clear footage of patrons.

In accordance with the order, these petrol stations discovered promoting gasoline to people violating visitors guidelines, particularly driving with out helmets, will face private duty and authorized penalties.
