NEW DELHI, Mar 14: Forward of the announcement of the Lok Sabha election schedule, the Centre on Thursday slashed costs of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per litre.
With the latest cuts in liquefied petroleum gasoline (LPG) and compressed pure gasoline (CNG) costs, hypothesis was rife {that a} discount in petrol and diesel costs could also be within the offing in view of the approaching Lok Sabha polls.
In a submit on X, Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri stated, “By lowering the costs of petrol and diesel by Rs 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has as soon as once more proved that the welfare and comfort of his household of crores of Indians is all the time his purpose.”
