SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday arrested 4 individuals concerned in human trafficking in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
In a press release, a police spokesperson mentioned, “Police Put up Soibugh obtained a name from a supply concerning a non-local girl wandering aimlessly within the Arath space looking for assist. Accordingly, a police workforce from PP Soibugh was dispatched to the mentioned place and recovered the mentioned girl, who was subsequently handed over to ‘Sakhi One Cease Centre Budgam.”
It additional states that upon inquiry, she revealed that she had been fraudulently dropped at Kashmir by Zaitoon Bibi, a resident of Kolkata, and Bashir Ahmed Mochi of Arath, Budgam.
The assertion provides, “She additional disclosed that the people bought her to at least one Parvaiz Ahmad Ganiee, son of Gh Mohd Ganiee, resident of Yall Pattan for Rs 1.30 lakh and forcibly married her to the mentioned individual.”
Accordingly, Budgam Police registered a Case FIR No 52/2024 underneath the related part of Regulation at Police Station Budgam, and investigation was initiated.”
“Throughout the course of the investigation, 4 individuals, specifically Bashir Ahmad Mochi, son of Ab Rehman Mochi, resident of Arath Budgam, Gh Hassan Najar, son of Wali Mohd Najar, resident of Arath Budgam, Parvaiz Ahmad Ganiee, son of Gh Mohd Ganiee, resident of Yall Pattan, and Mohd Ramzan Ganiee, son of Ab Wahab Ganiee, resident of Hanjibugh Magam, had been discovered concerned within the trafficking racket and had been subsequently arrested. Additional investigation is ongoing,” it reads.
