Prosecuting officer dismissed for taking Rs 2 lakh bribe from an accused in homicide case in Rajouri – Kashmir Reader

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir authorities has dismissed a prosecuting officer for taking bribe of Rs 2 lakh from an accused for not getting him arrayed as an accused in a homicide case in Rajouri.

In accordance with an order,the federal government dismissed incharge senior prosecuting officer Aijaz-Ul-Hassan for taking Rs 2 lakh bribe from the accused whereas he was posted as Senior Prosecuting Officer within the courtroom of Judicial Justice of the Peace 1st Class Thanamandi.

The order states that the officer failed in sustaining absolute integrity and acted in a fashion unbecoming of a authorities worker, thereby violating the provisions contained in J&Ok Workers (Conduct) Guidelines, 1971.

“The act on the a part of the officer tantamount to a violation of Rule 3 of J&Ok Workers (Conduct) Guidelines, 1971,” it mentioned.

It added that due to this fact, when it comes to Rule 30(viii) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Companies (Classification, Management & Enchantment) Guidelines, 1956, Shri Aijaz-Ul-Hassan, in cost Senior Prosecuting Officer is dismissed from service, with rapid impact, which will even disqualify him from future employment—(KNO)
