Retired SP shot lifeless by terrorists throughout Azan in Baramulla: Police

Srinagar : Terrorists on Sunday morning shot lifeless a retired police officer in Gantmulla space of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police stated.

In a publish on X, Kashmir zone police, as per the information company stated that the retired superintendent of police was shot lifeless whereas giving a prayer name (Azan) in a mosque. Police stated that space has been cordoned off, whereas additional particulars are awaited.

“Terrorists fired upon Shri Mohd Shafi, a retired police officer at Gantmulla, Sheeri #Baramulla, whereas praying Azan within the mosque and succumbed to accidents. Space has been #cordoned off. Additional particulars awaited,” police stated.

The slain was 72 -years- previous and is survived by his spouse, two sons and a daughter. A pall of gloom descended on whole Gantumulla village when the information of killing of Shafi unfold on the world with folks thronging his home to mourn the killing—(KNO)
