Sajad Lone Calls for FIR In opposition to Farooq Abdullah, Cong Leaders For ‘Rigging’ 1987 J&K Meeting Polls

SRINAGAR, Apr 3: Individuals’s Convention chief Sajad Gani Lone on Wednesday stated a case in opposition to Nationwide Convention president Farooq Abdullah and others for his or her function within the alleged rigging of the 1987 Jammu and Kashmir Meeting polls would be the greatest confidence-building measure in the direction of Kashmiris.

“So far as 1987 is anxious, I strongly imagine that even right now, the largest CBM (confidence-building measure) in the direction of Kashmiris shall be an FIR by which Farooq sahib, Congress leaders and bureaucrats are named for rigging the election,” Lone informed reporters in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The separatist-turned-mainstream politician is contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from the Baramulla constituency.
Lone stated there was no accountability for the election rigging in 1987, which he claimed was the set off for the outbreak of violence in Jammu and Kashmir.
“One lakh individuals have died, hundreds have been jailed. A military of orphans, a military of widows and there’s no accountability? Have been they not people? Don’t their lives matter?” he requested.
Lone stated his father, Abdul Gani Lone, was a political one that gave up on electoral politics after the 1987 polls.
“My father participated in elections until 1987 however not after that. That’s the reason we don’t use his images in our marketing campaign. We respect his stand,” he stated. (Companies)
