Admin to put in statue of emperor Lalitaditya Muktapida at Martand temple in Anantnag

The Jammu Kashmir administration has determined to guard and restore the traditional temples in Kashmir Valley.

As per an official communique, a duplicate of which lies with the information company Kashmir Information Belief, the Jammu Kashmir Authorities has directed the Division of Tradition to guard, preserve and restore the Martand Solar Temple located in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The federal government has additionally determined to put in the statue of Emperor Lalitaditya Muktapida who constructed the Martand Solar Temple through the eighth Century AD.

Principal Secretary to the Authorities, Division of Tradition shall take a gathering to debate the matter concerning the safety, conservation, and restoration of the traditional temples in Kasmir with the set up of a statue of Emperor Lalitaditya Muktapida within the premises of Martand Solar Temple in Mattan Anantnag.

The assembly is scheduled to be held on 1st April at Civil Secretariat Jammu. [KNT]
