Police in Maharashtra’s Beed district have filed a case after an unidentified individuals wrote Hindu slogan on the wall of a outstanding mosque, sparking communal tensions.
The incident, as per Indian Specific occurred on the Markazi Masjid mosque in Majalgaon, prompting protests from the native Muslim group, who gathered exterior the mosque and native police station demanding motion.
Sub-divisional police officer Dheeraj Kumar acknowledged that the slogan, “Shri Ram,” was written on the wall round 5 pm, resulting in the submitting of an FIR below part 295 for the intentional defacement of a spot of worship.
