A person from Kulgam handed away throughout the eighth day of his Itikaaf in a mosque in south Kashmir.
Locals informed The Kashmiriyat that Ghulam Mohammed Itoo son of Mohammed Shaban Itoo who was on Itikaaf at Bonpora mosque in Kulgam fell unconscious after which he was rushed to the hospital.
The 65-year-old breathed his final on the hospital.
Itikaaf, in Islam, includes dedicating a set variety of days to reside inside a mosque, focusing solely on worship and abstaining from worldly issues.
Etymologically, it denotes adherence and consistency in devotion.
