Evening temperature drops throughout Kashmir

Evening temperature throughout Kashmir dropped a number of notches beneath zero on Monday as an intense chilly wave continued unabated.

The Meteorological (MeT) division stated, “Minimal temperature was minus 5.2 in Srinagar immediately whereas it was minus 3.4 and minus 5.7 in Gulmarg and Pahalgam respectively.

“Leh city of Ladakh had minus 14, Kargil minus 9.8 and Drass minus 13.6 because the minimal temperature immediately.

“Jammu metropolis had 7.3, Katra 7.1, Batote 3.1, Bhaderwah 0.6 and Banihal minus 0.8 because the night time’s lowest temperature”.

The 40-day lengthy interval of harsh winter chilly known as the ‘Chillai Kalan’ began on December 21 and can finish on January 30. (IANS)
