Non-local sufferer of human trafficking rescued in Bandipora, says Police

On Sunday, Bandipora police in north Kashmir, mentioned it rescued a non-local lady who had fallen sufferer to human trafficking.

The rescue operation led to the arrest of Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh, as the person who illegally bought the sufferer.

In response to police, the lady was offered to Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh from Banyari Ajas, Bandipora.

Following the rescue, authorities initiated authorized proceedings, with FIR registered on the Sumbal Police Station.

Additional particulars concerning the continued investigation are awaited as authorities proceed to pursue the case of the rescued sufferer.

Earlier this month, the SIA raided 18 areas in Srinagar in reference to Human trafficking of international ladies as reported by The Kashmiriyat.
