A 19-year-old Kashmiri youth has been arrested by the Mumbai police for allegedly raping and impregnating a lady, an official instructed PTI on Sunday.
The police just lately nabbed the youth when he arrived to go to the lady who was admitted to Bhabha Hospital within the western suburb of Bandra, the official stated.
The youth, who hails from the Kashmir valley, had befriended the 16-year-old lady whereas he was working within the metropolis and was in a bodily relationship along with her from August 2022 until September this 12 months, he stated.
The lady’s household came upon that she was pregnant and approached the police, the report talked about quoting the official additional.
The accused has been arrested underneath part 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and related provisions of the Safety of Youngsters from Sexual Offence Act (POCSO), he added.
