SRINAGAR: Three drug peddlers together with a girl had been arrested and contraband substances had been recovered from their possession in Jammu Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday, police mentioned.
A police spokesperson in an announcement mentioned that Police Station Sheeri at a checkpoint in Kitchama close to the Service Station intercepted two males and a girl coming in direction of Kitchama on a scooty.
Throughout the search, 776 grams of contraband “Heroin” like substance had been recovered from their possession.
The trio had been recognized as Riyaz Ahmad Ganie and Shokeen Ahmad Ganie – each residents of Batangi Boniyar – and Saleema Begum, who resides at Mom Sheeri. “Throughout their search, 776 grams of contraband Heroin like substance was recovered from their possession, They’ve been arrested and shifted to Police station Sheeri the place they continue to be in custody,” assertion added.
Police has registered a case below related sections of legislation at police Station Sheeri and began an investigation.
