Handwara Trio Get Life Imprisonment for Rioting, Illegal Meeting, Homicide

SRINAGAR: The Courtroom of Extra Periods Choose in Handwara delivered a pivotal judgment on Thursday in case FIR No 128/2009 below sections 147, 149, 323, 302 RPC of PS Handwara.

A spokesman of the prosecution stated the decision led to the conviction of 9 accused individuals, affirming the steadfast dedication to justice and the rule of regulation.

Life imprisonment has been granted to the accused individuals Bashir Ahmad Mir, son of Gani Mir, Habibullah Mir, son of Gani Mir, and Manzoor Beigh, son of Hamza Beigh, all residents of Wadder Bala Handwara.

Three years imprisonment for offences below 147, 148, 323, 302 RPC has been given to Mst Raja, spouse of Manzur Beigh, and Mst Fehmeda, spouse of Habib Mir, each residents of Waddar Bala Handwara.

Two years imprisonment for offences below 147, 149, 323 RPC has been imposed on Gh Rasool Mir, son of Gani Mir, Habib Beigh, son of Hamza Beigh, Mohd Afzal Beigh, son of Manzur Ahmad Beigh, and Mst Mala, spouse of Ghulam Rasool Mir, all residents of Waddar Bala Handwara.

The deceased accused Hamza Beigh, son of Sultan Beigh, has posthumously been charged with offences below Part 147, 149 of the RPC.

The accused people have been discovered responsible of offences together with rioting, illegal meeting, inflicting damage, and the grave cost of homicide below the RPC.
