Ban on Jamaat-e-Islami prolonged for five years in Jammu Kashmir

The Union Dwelling Ministry on Tuesday prolonged the ban on Jammu Kashmir Jamaat-e-Islami for five years. The outfit was earlier banned in 2019.

In a put up on X, Amit Shah, as per the information company—Kashmir Information Observer (KNO) mentioned that pursuing PM Modi’s coverage of zero tolerance towards terrorism and separatism the federal government has prolonged the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami for 5 years.

He mentioned that the organisation is discovered persevering with its actions towards the safety, integrity and sovereignty of the nation.

“The outfit was first declared an ‘Illegal Affiliation’ on 28 February 2019. Anybody threatening the safety of the nation will face ruthless measures,” he mentioned—(KNO)
